International job fair 2024 in numbers
EURES JOB DAY in Prešov brought together more than 3,200 jobseekers with 52 exhibitors from abroad and from Slovakia.
Participants of the fair, which was organized by EURES Slovakia on 3 October 2024 in Prešov, had the opportunity to get information about more than 2,000 jobs in various fields. The sectors were dominated by gastronomy, hospitality, industry, logistics, IT and seasonal work. Exhibitors from 14 European countries and Slovakia offered not only interesting job opportunities, but also comprehensive advice on living and working conditions in their countries. The EURES network was represented by Cyprus, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, the Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Austria, Slovenia, Spain and Sweden.
Interesting numbers and statistics
- Visitors: The largest group consisted of young people aged 20-29 with completed secondary education, followed by visitors with university education.
- Job offers: The greatest demand was for positions in the hotel industry, gastronomy, administration and production. Students and graduates were interested in the offer of seasonal jobs in Europe.
- Success: Based on feedback, 448 promises of employment were made. Exhibitors were satisfied not only with the quantity, but also with the quality of the jobseekers applying for their jobs.
Accompanying programme
In addition to the opportunity to meet employers in person, the fair also offered a rich accompanying programme with presentations of employers, information on the European labour market and labour mobility.
